The ’20s House is a lovely reminder of what life was like before electricity. When clocks had to be wound every day in order to keep the right time. This was the era of the oil lamp that lit up the kitchen and other rooms at night. Where music came from someone playing piano or grandpa’s fiddle…or turning the crank on the old windup Victrola that sat in the corner of the dining room.
Keep an eye out when you visit and read all the names that the owner of the piano collected when he asked his frequent visitors to sign their names on the upright piano’s wooden case.
